2026 Candidates

These Republican candidates appear to align more closely with grassroots Republican values than do their opponents.
While we do not endorse candidates, we do provide information to help you decide whether the candidates are worthy of your support.

Patrick McAuley (R)
Indiana - 7th Congressional District
Campaign Website

Patrick McAuley is running in an inner city district in Indianapolis against incumbent radical Democrat Andre Carson.  Carson has one of the most Left-leaning voting records in the U.S. House of Representatives.  As a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, he voted against ICE funding, to end qualified immunity for the police, in favor of a government-run public option for Obamacare, and for ever-expanding social spending.  As a Muslim, Carson wouldn’t vote to condemn HAMAS disruptions on U.S. campuses.  He partners with CAIR (HAMAS in America), resists curbs on immigration from Muslim countries of concern, and thinks our schools should be more like Muslim madrassas.    He has an abysmal lifetime score of just 7 percent on the Heritage Action legislative scorecard.

Running as a Republican, Patrick McAuley seeks to expand government programs for housing and employment, but told GOP Action he believes this is necessary to deal with problems in his inner city district.  While more government spending is not to our liking, we elicited several pledges from McAuley in our negotiations with him.  On balance – and considering the extremism of his Democrat opponent Andre Carson– we believe McAuley is well worth your consideration as you decide what candidates to support this year.

McAuley’s Pledges to GOP Action

Issue 1
Taking contributions from groups associated with the Democratic Party
Pledge: If they align with my platform, which focuses on fixing inner-city issues and advocating for housing, jobs, homelessness prevention, and public safety, I will allow a conversation.

Issue 2
Voting with Democrats against a Republican majority
Pledge: I pledge to never vote with Democrats against a Republican majority.

Issue 3
Internal controls on federal spending programs for fraud prevention
Pledge: I pledge to have extremely strong internal controls on federal spending.

Issue 4

Pledge: I pledge not to create public-private partnerships.

Issue 5
