- Originally arrested for not wearing the hijab that is mandatory for women and girls in Iran, additional charges were piled on once she was sentenced.

- Women in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan are being literally disappeared from public life.

- One concern is that, not only the currently-existing Islamic Center, but the eventual city itself could seek to impose Islamic Law (sharia) throughout the premises. At the moment, women, for example, are obligated to observe gender segregation and Islamic clothing regulations inside the mosque.

- Mandates Sharia-compliant hijab for all girls attending EPIC’s Islamic schools
- Enforces gender segregation during prayer and events inside its mosque, in full alignment with Islamic legal rulings on male and female separation.
- Requires women to remain fully Sharia-compliant while inside the mosque, including adherence to rules regarding public speech, seating, dress, and body covering.
- Lectures women on Sharia hair and grooming laws, including fatwas against plucking eyebrows, perfume use, and dress outside the home.]

- The interesting point to this story, though, is that it is Kyrgyzstan, a majority Muslim country – albeit with a secular government – that has banned the niqab. [Editor’s Note - some U.S. states have laws against face coverings in public for the same public safety rationale. Those laws should be enforced.]

- The question has to be, no matter that Muhammad is said to have married a six-year-old girl and consummated the marriage (raped her) when she was nine, what kind of man in the 21st century would even want to marry a little child?

- The husband was arrested, but under Islamic Law (sharia), beating one’s wife is fully authorized. (See Q 4:34)

- That this is happening in India is truly disturbing. Rule of law in India’s constitutional democracy must be enforced.

- Coptic Christians in Egypt continue to be under assault by the Muslim majority who now, as over the centuries, seek to subjugate all to Islamic Law.

- Yes, Islamic Law (sharia) mandates the death penalty for apostasy.

- Yes, the man was arrested, and his trial began in late March 2025… but how is this happening in Germany at all?

- Under Islamic Law (sharia), of course, the sexual abuse of captive infidel girls and women is fully sanctioned. (See Q 4:24-4:25, Q 4:36, etc.)

- The couple has run school training programs in Afghanistan since before the 2021 Taliban takeover. While not entirely clear what they are charged with, it may have to do with a Taliban ban on women working and on education for girls older than 12.

- Of all countries to be included in the UN Women’s Rights Commission, perhaps only Afghanistan and Pakistan stand out as less qualified. Qatar is an authoritarian monarchy ruled by Islamic Law (sharia). It has long armed, funded, harbored, and sponsored the Muslim Brotherhood, including its Gazan branch, the HAMAS Islamic terror organization.
