EXPERT BRIEFINGS
The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Code of Ethics imposes duties on journalists to “seek truth and report it,” as well as provide “thorough” information and “context”. The Code also states, “The public is entitled to as much information as possible to judge the reliability and motivations of sources.” The following journalists failed to accept expert briefings when offered after publishing uninformed stories:
